Firestone
The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, founded by Harvey S. Firestone in 1900,
has a rich history of innovation in the tire industry. Initially focusing on tires
for carriages and other wheeled vehicles, Firestone quickly recognized
the potential of automobiles and became a pioneer in mass-producing
tires for them. Their early success was significantly boosted by a part-
nership with Henry Ford, becoming the original equipment supplier for
Ford automobiles.
