Vintage lam ps, generally those produced between 20 and 100
years ago, saw their origins intertwined with the rise of
electrical lighting technology in the late 19th and early
20th centuries, particularly in Europe and the United
States. Early electric lam ps often used cotton-wrapped
cords and sam e-sized prongs on plugs, with polarized
outlets becom ing m ore com m on in the m id-20th century.
