G.E.C. (General Electric Com pany) was a significant player in the
early days of radio, particularly in the developm ent and
production of tube radios.
The GECOPHONE No. 1, one of the first com m ercially
available crystal detector radios, was introduced by the
General Electric Com pany (GEC) in 1923 in England.
